A New Vibe for the Virginia Office
A year or so back, we realized that 8 of the 10 of us in the Virginia office lived in Virginia Beach….but our office was in Norfolk. Imagine the impact on our commutes, our nerves, and the environment if we could take our cars off the road and bank the extra time with family, exercising or catching up. To be precise, 70,000 road miles and 850 hours saved per year! We wanted to be in the Vibe Creative District in VB, but there really wasn’t anything available in this popular area.
Thankfully, we were presented with a “make lemonade out of lemons” moment when the amazing “Something in the Water Festival” was canceled this summer due to Covid-19. The building where the event’s HQ was to be was now available, and we jumped on the chance to bring Brand Fuel to the beach. The space is a bit smaller, but because of our open floor plan, we are able to make it work really well. With the team getting used to WFH more often, the new space is exactly the size we needed. And a rooftop patio was the clincher – we can’t wait to invite clients and friends to our events up there once it is safe to do so.
One of the things we’re most excited about is how our new office is surrounded by bookstores, restaurants, bakeries, breweries, creative agencies, distilleries, an art/pottery center and the freaking BEACH! Brand Fuel’s eXperiences will come to life with the help of local partners, and we are literally a stone’s throw from some of the most creative spots in Virginia Beach. We can’t wait to engage our new friends and neighbors to create new and fun eXperiences with branding impact for our clients.
Norfolk was so good to us for over 15 years, and we’ll miss our friends in the Freemason District, but we are so excited to be in the heart of Virginia Beach’s Vibe Creative District.
