Solution

Do what our friends at Kimley-Horn, a company that has received 17 Fortune Best Companies to Work for Awards did. Create a competition amongst employees and offices that is fun and includes prizes!

Each of Kimley-Horn’s 160 offices was challenged to come together to design what they felt represented their region and design their creativity on …. Rowing Oars / Rowing Paddles. Why paddles/oars? Paddles and oars represent navigation, teamwork, effort, progress, exploration, and direction. Communicating this to employees and reinforcing teamwork is smart. Our cool hunters and coordinators at Brand Fuel handled the sourcing, branding, and distribution. The incredibly creative teams at Kimley-Horn took care of the team-building, painting, hot-gluing and hoping they’d win the in-office competition. Offices won prizes for their ingenuity, teamwork, and creativity. They truly understood the assignment!

The Outcome

  • 100% participation amongst 160 offices
  • 100% inspiration
  • 100% bragging rights for winners
  • 100% something fun and unique to hang in their offices (or use in canoes and kayaks) forever
